Seven-Figure Annual Minimum Commitment Builds on a Relationship that Started with an Image of the International Space Station in 2020 and Has Grown More than 40-Fold

ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Satellogic Inc. (NASDAQ: SATL), the infrastructure company for Persistent Global Intelligence (PGI), and HEO, a space intelligence company that images and analyzes objects in orbit on demand, today announced a three-year agreement under which Satellogic will provide HEO access to its high-resolution constellation to conduct Non-Earth Imaging (NEI) and generate insights, supporting space domain awareness globally. The recently signed agreement runs through 2029 and includes a seven-figure minimum annual commitment for each of its three years.
The agreement, announced today at Economist Enterprise’s Space Economy Summit, extends a collaboration that dates back to September 2020, when HEO approached Satellogic about imaging objects in orbit. The companies began with a small, co-funded engineering effort to adapt Satellogic's Earth observation satellites for non-Earth imaging, and the first capture was the International Space Station. Satellogic is HEO's longest-standing Earth observation constellation partner. Successful captures using Satellogic’s fleet have grown from about 30 in 2021, the first full year of service, to over 1,600 under the most recent agreement in the last year.
“HEO came to us in 2020 with a question few people in our industry had asked yet: what can an Earth observation satellite see if you point it at what's in orbit?” said Emiliano Kargieman, CEO and Co-Founder of Satellogic. “Our first project was a picture of the International Space Station. Six years and well over a thousand captures per year later, HEO has taken the capability and become a leader in NEI and space domain awareness.”
HEO has access to more satellites through Satellogic than through any other provider in its network. That means more revisit opportunities for each target, more viewing angles, and faster time to first image. The agreement covers Satellogic's NewSat Mark IV, Mark V and Mark VI satellites, including its newest inter-satellite link (ISL)-equipped spacecraft.
“Satellogic was one of our earliest partners to back non-Earth imaging, and our partnership has continued to grow through collaboration and innovation ever since,” said Dr. Will Crowe, CEO and Co-Founder of HEO. “Together, we’ve continued to find new ways to adapt their fleet for satellite inspection, improving the quality of imagery and insights available to our customers. Their satellites and our shared innovation give us flexibility as we work to view more objects in space and deliver better data to the government and defense customers whose missions depend on it. The three-year commitment gives us the confidence to keep pushing what’s possible.”
About Satellogic
Founded in 2010, Satellogic (NASDAQ: SATL) builds the infrastructure for Persistent Global Intelligence (PGI): continuous, proactive awareness of the places, assets, and activities that matter. The company combines high-cadence satellite collection, best-in-class technology, AI-accelerated workflows, and sovereign-trusted architecture to help customers move from episodic imagery to persistent monitoring programs.
Satellogic serves allied defense and intelligence agencies, civil governments, and commercial markets that need reliable, scalable awareness of change across large portfolios of sites. About HEO
HEO is building the intelligence layer for space. We image objects in orbit on demand, turning existing satellites into inspection platforms and building our own sensors where coverage gaps remain. Our software automates tasking, capture and analysis, turning imagery into decision-ready intelligence about satellites, debris and other objects in orbit. HEO operates internationally, with offices in Australia, France, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. Our goal is to make any image in the Solar System available on Demand.
